Live It Yoga, Common-Unity Center

A nourishing place for children to GROW

Children are the seeds.

Nourish them that they may grow in love.

Let them know kindness.

Let them see peace,

Let them live in harmony with all things.

Teach them to respect the Earth.

It is our duty.

It is their right.

Dedicated to nourishing the tender spirits, peaceful minds and healthy bodies of children, that they may flourish in their growth from the strong roots of love.  This creative yoga program offers freedom for the children to explore their awareness of Self and their interconnectedness of the world around them.  Through this awareness of connectedness, the individual innate voices of the children are heard and honored as they are empowered to realize they have a choice to live a healthy whole life, making a positive difference in the world.

An atmosphere of love, care, kindness and praise encourages creative expression and imagination through movement with music, exploring yoga poses and the awareness of breath, mind and body along with relaxation techniques.

This non competitive practice of yoga not only enhances flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness through stretching and exercising, it inspires positive thinking, self confidence and an awareness of inner peace.

Seeds of Peace, Yoga for Children offers a simple and fun approach to nourishing our children through our hearts.  That they may blossom gracefully into their fullness of beauty, peace, joy and the goodness from within.

Make meditation a gift you give yourself

Meditation is never about doing or creating anything.  We simply rest in everything as it is.  It sounds easy, yet nothing is more profound or mysterious.

Deep inside each of us is a place of infinite calm where you can retreat to the center of peace which lies within.  Take time to find this place of silence.  The center of peace lies in your inner self, awaiting your recognition and beckoning your entrance into this sacredness of stillness. Devote yourself to the present moment and begin your journey into the silence beyond. The rhythm of your breath will carry you. Open and receptive to listening to the still small voice, we are guided by the grace of our innate wisdom and understanding

How do we enter this center of peace within?

Through the

The Art of Meditation

Together, side by side, we will explore various meditation techniques which support your practice of meditation.   Mindful breathing techniques, creative visualization, mantras, prayer are some of the techniques offered.

With your willfulness to open to spirit, mind and heart, you will find this which you are seeking is already within you.

Life is adventurous.  Often traveling roads we had not expected.  The Path of Meditation offers the pilgrim, as he adventures through the hills and valleys, to see the world each new day and each new encounter with a knowingness of Gratitude, Peace and Hope.

Embark on this adventure where trust, safety, confidence and a sense of belonging is offered.  We join together to sit quietly and at ease.  We may feel restless.  Yet we sit. Inviting surrender,  letting go, and to have faith.   It is hard.  Yet the Buddhist wisdom offers some encouragement.  “Everyone comes to meditation with a beginners mind.”

Guided by a knowing with the heart, a knowing by the heart, we are led by the footprint of this peaceful knowledge.   We will explore and experience the many different ways to travel to this knowing heart.  There is no one way.  No one path. With simple yet profound tools and practical techniques that will be offered,  you to discover the way for your personal practice.

Enjoy the present moment of the holiday season.  Take a pause from the crowds, withdraw from the pressing needs, take the pilgrimage into the peaceful silence.  Give your mind and body rest and relaxation the practice offers. Anxiety and stress melt away.  Your immune system will strengthen. Feel in the stillness,  in a quiet moment, your spirit lifts.  From the gentle breeze of the breath, “hear” the sheer silence sing the song of Praise and Thanks-giving. Peace on Earth, Good will to all.

As you encourage your own participation though out these 7 weeks, a momentum will become established.  The experience of the benefits will deepen.  Calling you back time and time again to a daily practice into the stillness of your heart and soul.

I hope you join me on this pilgrimage. Traveling with friends.  Grateful to be connected in the common-unity center of the heart.  Feel the joy of being together.

.

Please do wear comfortable clothing.  You are welcome to bring a notebook to journal in in reflection of your practice. There will be time at the end of the class for questions and reflections you wish to share.

I welcome you to email me if you have any thoughts or questions in which I can bring deeper understanding and clarity.

Namaste,

wendy
